My son, Reece Smith, goes to the Open Air School and I offered some of his friends to come for a surf session one day. They enjoyed it so much I decided to make it a more regular occurenece and slowly it grew. We now have 7 kids who entered this comp, plus more parents have contacted me recently to get their kids involved. Hopefully the sport grows nicely in KZN and we can start getting more special needs lightys ripping some serious waves in years to come.

There are so many people who were instrumental in making the day a success. From the crew of volunteers, to prizes sponsored from Surfing South Africa, to private people sponsoring boards, to everyone who came and filmed or supported. Thanks to everyone who helped.
